NHS England (NHSE) has proposed to introduce new tariffs for selected specialist radiotherapy services under the 2023/25 NHS Payment Scheme (NHSPS). This scheme replaced the National Tariff in 2023 and governs reimbursement between providers and commissioners of secondary healthcare. Currently, funding for specialist radiotherapy services varies across England. This proposal is expected to benefit providers in this sector as it may lead to uniform national prices, and higher prices for these services in the short-term.

The change is part of the transitional step towards devolved procurement and contracting to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). In anticipation of these changes, Marwood can assist investors and providers in navigating the future impact on existing or future assets.
